How would you react to a machine that smiles at you? Would you be concerned if a robot looked sad or worried? These are the questions that motivated a team of scientists at the University of the West of England to build "Heart Robot." Heart Robot is a puppet designed to respond to humans on an emotional level - cuddle him and he seems to soak up the affection, agitate him and his "heartbeat" races.
