New Google search feature lets you sort your results by reading level
Tired of sifting through hundreds of links looking for search results appropriate for the university level? Google has added a new feature to its Advanced Search that makes it easy to limit your results to a basic, intermediate or advanced reading level.
To access this new feature go to Google's Advanced Search page and look for the reading level dropbox under "Need More Tools?"
If you select annotate results with reading levels you will see a graph at the top of your results page displaying the percentage of results that fall within each reading level. Click the level to limit your results to that particular level.

The new feature was built with the help of teachers who were hired to classify web pages according to reading level. That data along with data from Google Scholar was used to build a statistical model. More information about the creation of the filter is available at Search Engine Roundtable.
