New Grad Students: Don't miss library orientation!

Congratulations on starting your journey in grad school! To make it a successful one, get to know the many resources your library has to offer and make use of them. As a graduate student, you will need to conduct in-depth research using resources and techniques you may not have encountered as an undergraduate.

For a great overview of how to use the library, be sure to attend the introductory workshop scheduled during New Graduate student Orientation week. "An Introduction to Library Online Resources" is being offered at these times:

  • Wednesday, January 19, 11 am – 12 pm
  • Thursday, January 20, 1 pm – 2 pm

Review our Graduate Student Guide for lots of useful information about library research, and feel free to contact a librarian to schedule a one-on-one research consultation at any point during the semester.

Keep track of what's new at the library at library.poly.edu/news. In addition to posts on new resources and events, you'll also find useful tips like this post about a grad student forum: GradShare - Where grad students help each other.

Finally, a dose of grad school humor for you (before it shrinks away)...
