Why should I care about copyright law?
When it comes to copyright law, many of us think what's the big deal? Doesn't fair use mean I can copy whatever I want as long as it's for educational purposes? Well, not exactly. Copyright law is not always clear cut. What might seem to be a harmless sharing of content could land you and the university in a legal battle or charged with hefty fines. That's why it is so important for faculty, students and staff to be aware of and comply with copyright law.
