Earth Day on and around campus
As Spring finally makes an appearance, take a moment to enjoy the warmer weather and pay tribute to our home planet by participating in Earth Day events around campus. The Poly Earth Day Festival will take place on Thursday, April 21 from noon to 3 pm as part of Poly Pride Week. NYU's supersized Earth Week has daily activities that carry on through April 26. Activities include panel discussions, film screenings, a street fair, clothing swap and much more. Find out more about NYU Earth Week. For more Earth Day fun around town, check out Earth Day New York.
If you're stuck inside working on a research project, try our green focused databases from EBSCO - Environment Complete and GreenFILE. These interdisciplinary databases specialize in all matters pertaining to the environment.
Finally, some food for thought:
Have an old computer or other unwanted electronics lying around? Take them to to an e-waste recycling event taking place around the five boroughs.
