How NYU-Poly is Helping New York City go Digital
New York City is determined to become a top-ranked "Digital City" based on internet access, open government, citizen engagement and digital industry growth. You can read more about the city's Road Map for the Digital City in today's article in Mashable: How New York City Is Going Digital in 2011.
NYU-Poly is helping NYC achieve its digital dreams by partnering with the City to support tech start-ups with advice, space and other resources through its business incubators. The latest incubator is set to open in DUMBO this fall and will play an important role in establishing Brooklyn as a high-tech hot bed.
NYU-Poly also recently launched its new Center of Innovation for Technology and Entertainment, which fosters collaboration between academia and industry in the development of ground-breaking new media technologies. In another initiative to encourage collaboration between industry, the city, and academic institutions, NYU-Poly hosts the NYC Media Lab.
