Need a laptop? Borrow one from us!
Forgot your laptop at home? Or maybe you just don't feel like lugging one around? No problem! You can now borrow a laptop from the library service desk for a three hour period. Library laptops come fully loaded with a wide range of productivity and design software and you are free to add your own software as well.

Borrowing a laptop
Current NYU-Poly and NYU students, faculty, and staff may borrow a laptop. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis—you may not reserve one ahead of time. Before borrowing a laptop, you must read and sign the Laptop Loan Policy, Procedure and Agreement (PDF).
Saving your work
Once the laptop is turned off or loses power, all data and added software is deleted from the hard drive, so please save early and often! The laptop will be fully charged when you receive it and should last the three hour loan period (battery chargers are not supplied). Save all your work to external media, like a USB flash drive or in the "cloud."
Borrower Responsibilities
The laptop is your responsibility for the entire loan period. You will be held financially responsible if it is lost, stolen or damaged in any way, so please do not lend it to anyone else and definitely do not leave it unattended! If you return it late you will be charged $20 an hour. Replacement costs for missing laptops will be set at current market value.
