Access Other Libraries

Other NYU Libraries

All members of the Polytechnic Institute of NYU can access the Elmer Holmes Bobst Library. Use your NYU-Poly ID card to enter the library and borrow materials.

For more information on using Bobst and other NYU libraries, read the NYU Libraries Frequently Asked Questions.

Please do not contact Bobst or any other NYU library directly. Contact a Dibner librarian first and we will assist you with all your information needs.

With an ALB card and a valid NYU-Poly ID, Polytechnic faculty and students may visit any of these libraries, use resources on site and borrow up to two items at a time. The loan period for ALB circulating books is normally 28 days. Loans are not renewable. You can obtain an ALB card, which is valid for one semester, at the Dibner Library service desk.

Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO)

NYU-Poly is a member of the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO), a non-profit cooperative membership organization of 270 libraries and library systems in the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County.

You may visit participating METRO libraries by obtaining a METRO referral card at our library service desk. A METRO referral card allows an individual a one-time-only visit to a library to use a specified item in that library. The referral is not intended for general use of a library's collections or services and does not allow borrowing privileges. Search the Member Directory here.
