- Using the Library
Current NYU students, faculty and staff may borrow a laptop from the service desk for a four hour period. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may take the laptop out of the library, but not off the NYU Brooklyn campus.

Dibner Library offers PC and iMac computer desktops available for use by students, faculty, and staff. Access is first-come, first-served and there is no time limit on computer use. Five high performance desktops are available in the computer lab (LC337) which are ideal for memory intensive research or design work.
A variety of learning, research, design and productivity software is available for use on library computers. In addition, some software can be used via the internet or downloaded directly to your computer. View available software.
Wireless access for your laptop or other mobile device is available throughout the Brooklyn campus. Instructions on how to connect to WiFi are available on the Information Systems website. For further assistance, please contact the Information Systems Help Desk.
